What is your cartoon creation process?

My process is pretty simple. I start with an initial sketch, based upon discussions in our initial kickoff conversation. I’ll submit the sketch for your review, where you can give your feedback, adding any other details you wish to have included. With your comments in mind, I will complete an inked and detailed version of the cartoon. Our last review can include minor changes which I will add into the final version. You will receive a high resolution file from which you can print or use for online purposes.

Do you do political cartoons?

Yes. I am the former political cartoonist for the Deseret News in Salt Lake City, Utah. My political leanings are independent. If you have a political cartoon idea, contact me. In most cases, unless the topic is an extremist one, I can accommodate it.

Do you draw caricatures?

I do. As a former syndicated political cartoonist, I have honed my caricature skills, enabling me to create any likeness (including pets!).

What is your level of experience?

I am a full-time, professional cartoonist with decades of expert cartooning experience.

Do you do animation work?

Although I have created animations in the past for companies like Crate & Barrel, The Pittsburg Steelers, and others, in recent years, I have limited my involvement in animation work to storyboarding and character development. Under some circumstances, I might make exceptions. Contact me if you are interested in samples of my animation style, and a quote.

Do you draw cartoons for personal projects?

Yes, pricing may be different for personal cartoon projects, depending upon the complexity of the cartoon illustration.

Who owns the copyright to my cartoons?

Unless we agree upon other arrangements, you have perpetual usage rights, meaning there is no expiration or end date on your rights to use the cartoon(s). For custom cartoons, usage may include exclusive, worldwide, and unlimited rights.

What is your refund/exchange policy?

While I make every effort to ensure each client is fully satisfied with the results of their cartoons, still there may be that rare occasion when things aren’t working for you. If after all revisions are completed, and you are still dissatisfied with the cartoon(s), you can request a credit of 50% of the total within 30 days. Credits are calculated based upon the full-price of each cartoon, and are valid for up to one calendar year of the initial order date. No refunds are offered.
