A friend of mine who knows I am an online cartoonist for hire, recently asked how work was going for me. I responded that it was going well, but that I was in the midst of a cartoon emergency. “What exactly is an emergency for a cartoonist illustrator?!” my friend asked with some confusion. “A client was late ordering their cartoon portrait for their annual family Christmas Card,” I explained.

These are the typical emergencies people experience when they are looking for a cartoonist online. Sometimes a marketing agency has a client with a tighter-than-usual deadline, or a company wants to hire a cartoonist to launch a social media marketing campaign. Most people who are looking for a cartoonist online don’t have a cartoon emergency, but for those who do, I can usually accommodate them.
